The Walker Family, hailing from the proud Cajun town of Ville Platte, Louisiana, is thrilled to present their line of exceptional Cajun seasonings and recipes. It was in this vibrant community that Wilda Marie Fontenot Walker gave birth to Anthony Walker (affectionately known as "TW") in 1956 – the one-of-a-kind creator and sole originator of the well-known Slap Ya Mama brand seasoning. TW's seasoning is recommended for a wide array of culinary uses, from popcorn to popcorn shrimp, breakfast to late night snacks, and gourmet foods to French fries.

While running the family deli, TW embarked on a quest to find a seasoning that captured the authentic Cajun pepper taste without the heavy salt content. When he couldn't find one, he took matters into his own hands and created his own unique blend.

TW's sons, Jack and Joe, were young at the time, and they often spent their days rolling an antique glass pickle jar around the deli floor, helping to mix the homegrown Cajun seasoning. This perfect combination of work and play soon gained widespread popularity, and the Walkers needed to find a fitting name for their creation.

When customers would come into the deli and ask to take home the Cajun seasoning, TW would often proclaim, "When you use this seasoning, the food tastes so good, you'll receive a loving slap on the back and a kiss on the cheek for creating such a great tasting Cajun dish." And so, the Walker & Son's Cajun brand Slap Ya Mama was born in the proud Cajun town of Ville Platte, Louisiana.
